Woodstock Townhouse Bathroom
The client felt their bathroom was too clinical, so they wanted to add character.
This project was in a townhouse that the client purchased as their first home and was recently updated by the previous owners before selling. The client loved the bright finishes in the rest of the house, but without any natural light in the bathroom, it felt cold and uninviting. When they first moved in, I provided renderings to present ideas for minimal changes to help add some colour and warmth into the space. This included replacing the mirror and light fixture, as well as adding peel-and-stick tile on the floor and around the vanity. The client liked the look of the changes, and this evolved to them deciding to revamp more of the bathroom. They found options for paint colours and wallpaper, and we worked together to make the final selection. They also used the renderings as a reference when they were choosing a new mirror, countertop, and backsplash tile. More character was added through decor such as rugs, accessories, and a thrifted wall shelf. The client has plans in the future to replace the flooring and plumbing fixtures.
